An animation studio is a company producing animated media. The broadest such companies conceive of products to produce, own the physical equipment for production, employ operators for that equipment, and hold a major stake in the sales or rentals of the media produced. They also own rights over merchandising and creative rights for characters created/held by the company, much like authors holding copyrights. In some early cases, they also held patent rights over methods of animation used in certain studios that were used for boosting productivity. Overall, they are business concerns and can function as such in legal terms. is a Japanese animation studio established on 1 June 1973. It is located in Nerima, Tokyo. History Asahi Production was founded in 1973, initially establishing itself as a specialized shooting studio and PR movie company. At its inception, Tokyo Movie Co., Ltd, and Tokyo Movie Shinsha (today TMS Entertainment) were its first affiliates. Artland (company)
is a Japanese animation studio. It has produced numerous noted anime series, including the award-winning ''Mushishi'' and epic ''Legend of the Galactic Heroes''. It is also well known for producing the anime adaptation of '' Katekyō Hitman Reborn!''. History On March 17, 2006, Marvelous Entertainment announced that Artland would become a subsidiary of Marvelous Entertainment Inc., effective on April 3, 2006. was a Japanese animation studio based in Suginami, Tokyo and active from 1996 to 2020. History The studio was formed on November 18, 1996 from a merger between Dandelion (founded in 1992) and Triple X (founded in 1993).
