Aleksandr Mikhailovich Trofimov (russian: Александр Михайлович Трофимов; born 27 April 1937) is a former Soviet and Russian diplomat. He served in various diplomatic roles from 1960 onwards, and was Ambassador of Russia to Estonia between 1992 and 1997. Career Trofimov was born on 27 April 1937. He graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1960 and began his career with the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Vadim Stepanovich Tikunov (russian: Вадим Степанович Тикунов; 9 April 1921 – 16 July 1980) was a Soviet politician who served as the minister of internal affairs of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic between 1961 and 1966.
