The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ethiopia is the United Kingdom's foremost diplomatic representative in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and head of the UK's diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa. Sir Duncan Robin Carmichael Christopher (born 13 October 1944) is a British retired diplomat, now a consultant and charity trustee. Career Christopher was educated at Keble College, Oxford, and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Sir Harold "Hooky" Berners Walker, (born 19 October 1932) is a British former diplomat. He served as British Ambassador to Bahrain (1979–81), the United Arab Emirates (1981–86), Ethiopia (1986-1990) and finally Iraq (1990–91). Early life The son of the late Admiral Sir Harold Walker, Sir Harold was born in 1932, and attended Winchester College and later Worcester College, Oxford. Career From 1956 to 1992 he was a career diplomat. Sir Willie Morris (1919 – 13 April 1982) was a British diplomat from Yorkshire. He joined the Foreign Office in 1947 and retired in 1979. Alan Campbell (diplomat)
Sir Alan Hugh Campbell (1 July 1919 – 7 October 2007) was a British diplomat and civil servant. He was British ambassador to Ethiopia from 1969 to 1972 and to Italy from 1976 to 1979, and also held senior posts in the Foreign Office in London. Early life and education Campbell's father had retired from the family business, Ibert & Co, and bought a large house, Combe Royal, near Kingsbridge on the south coast of Devon.
