Clemson University
Clemson University () is a public land-grant research university in Clemson, South Carolina. Founded in 1889, Clemson is the second-largest university in the student population in South Carolina. For the fall 2019 semester, the university enrolled a total of 20,195 undergraduate students and 5,627 graduate students, and the student/faculty ratio was 18:1. Clemson's 1,400-acre campus is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The campus now borders Lake Hartwell, which was formed by the dam completed in 1962. The university manages the nearby 17,500-acre Clemson Experimental Forest that is used for research, education, and recreation. ''Speed Center'' was a motor sports news program on Speed Channel. Debuting on February 13, 2011, it was anchored by Adam Alexander with Jeff Hammond and Sam Hornish Jr. as analysts on Sunday episodes. Ricky Rudd was the analyst for the first two races at Daytona and Phoenix. History ''Speed Center'' and its predecessors were a staple of Speed Channel since the network opened as SpeedVision in 1996. James Michael Tyler (May 28, 1962 – October 24, 2021) was an American actor best known for his portrayal of Gunther on the NBC sitcom '' Friends''. Mark Thomas Tremonti (born April 18, 1974) is an American guitarist and singer, best known for his tenures with the rock bands Creed and Alter Bridge. He is a founding member of both bands, and has also collaborated with many other artists over the years. He formed his own band Tremonti in 2011 and has released five albums with them, including ''A Dying Machine'', which was adapted by Tremonti and science fiction novelist John Shirley. Ali Rogers Fauntleroy (born October 29, 1991) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Laurens, South Carolina who was named Miss South Carolina 2012. Biography She won the title of Miss South Carolina on July 14, 2012, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Bree Boyce. Rogers was swimsuit preliminary winner at Miss South Carolina 2012. Ben Robertson (journalist)
Benjamin Franklin Robertson Jr. (June 22, 1903 – February 22, 1943) was an American writer, journalist and World War II war correspondent. He is best known for his renowned Southern memoir ''Red Hills and Cotton: An Upcountry Memory'', first published in 1942 and still in print. A native of Clemson, South Carolina, a horticulture graduate of Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina, class of 1923, and writer for ''The Tiger'', the college student newspaper. He was an honorary member of Gamma Alpha Mu local writers fraternity. He died in 1943 in a plane crash in Portugal. Jane Robelot
Jane Robelot (born October 9, 1960) is an American television host, who served as a co-anchor of CBS television's ''This Morning'' from 1996 to 1999. In the 1980s, she worked at WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, South Carolina, then at then-CBS-owned WCAU TV Philadelphia before moving to CBS. After working for CBS News, she was the primary anchor for WGCL-TV in Atlanta. A native of Greenville, South Carolina, where she graduated from Wade Hampton High School (Greenville, South Carolina), and a graduate of Clemson University, she is currently the 4pm news anchor at WYFF-TV in Greenville, South Carolina.
