This is a list of active ships of the Royal Swedish Navy. Swedish Navy The Swedish Navy is the naval branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. It is composed of surface and submarine naval units – the Royal Fleet (''Kungliga flottan'') – as well as marine units, the Swedish Amphibious Corps, Amphibious Corps. NHIndustries NH90
The NHIndustries NH90 is a medium-sized, twin-engine, multi-role military helicopter. It was developed in response to NATO requirements for a battlefield helicopter which would also be capable of being operated in naval environments. The NH90 was developed and is manufactured by NHIndustries, a collaborative company owned by Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo (formerly AgustaWestland) and Fokker Aerostructures. The first prototype conducted its maiden flight in December 1995; the type first entered operational service in 2007. As of June 2022, the NH90 has logged 327,053 flight hours in the armed forces of thirteen countries. Styrsö-class Mine Countermeasures Vessel
The ''Styrsö'' class is a Swedish mine countermeasures vessel built from glass fiber. Among its intended missions are mine detection, mine hunting and patrolling. The ships are named after islands from four different archipelagos of Sweden. In 2004 HMS ''Spårö'' and HMS ''Sturkö'' were modernised, pulling out some of their capability for traditional mine clearance in favour of extended human dive support, the modified vessels are occasionally called ''Spårö'' class. Description The ships are equipped for acoustic, magnetic and mechanical mine clearance. There is also an underwater vehicle type ''Uven'' and a Towed array sonar on board. Koster-class Mine Countermeasures Vessel
The ''Koster'' class is a class of five mine-countermeasure vessels currently in use by the Swedish Navy. Built between 1982 and 1993 as part of the seven-strong s, the last five ships of the class were given a comprehensive midlife upgrade between 2007 and 2010, which resulted in HMS ''Koster'' becoming the lead ship of the newly upgraded class of MCMVs. After the upgrade, the Swedish Navy expects that it will serve on for another 15 to 20 years. An identifying feature of the ''Koster'' class is the fire control radar on top of the bridge. The Karabiner Modell 1931 (K. 31/Kar. 31/Mq. 31) is a magazine-fed, straight-pull bolt-action rifle. It was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss armed forces from 1933 until 1958 though examples remained in service into the 1970s. It has a 6-round removable magazine, and is chambered for the 7.5×55mm Swiss ''Gewehrpatrone 1911'' or GP 11, a cartridge with ballistic qualities similar to the 7.62×51mm NATO/.308 Winchester cartridge. Each rifle included a 6-round detachable box magazine with matching stamped serial number. A stripper clip can be used to load the magazine from the top of the receiver. The Karabiner Modell 1931 replaced both the Model 1911 rifle and carbine and was gradually replaced by the Stgw 57 from 1958 onwards. Göteborg-class Corvette
The ''Göteborg'' class is a class of corvettes in the Swedish Navy, built between 1986 and 1993. The class was originally designed to destroy Soviet submarines and surface vessels, and is armed with eight RBS-15 anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, one 57 mm cannon, and one 40 mm cannon.
