Bay Bulls ( 2021 population: 1,566) is a small fishing town in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Geography Located in a sheltered bay, it has been home to many fishermen and a strategic location in early times as it is located just a few miles from the capital, St. John's. Avondale is a town located on Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The community is situated at the southwestern head of Conception Bay in Division 1. It is located southwest of St. John's and northeast of Placentia. Prior to January 1, 1898 Avondale was known as Salmon Cove but was renamed to avoid confusion with two other nearby communities of the same name in the Port de Grave and Brigus Districts. Aquaforte, Newfoundland And Labrador
Aquaforte is a town on the south shore of Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The town's economy has always rested primarily on fishing. The harbour has been used as a seasonal fishing station since the 1670s. British and French hostilities played out in harbors all along the Avalon Peninsula in the 18th century, and Aquaforte was no exception. However, the first permanent residents did not settle in Aquaforte until the early 1800s. It is located from Ferryland and from St. John's by water.
