Woody Lissauer
Woody Lissauer (born July 9, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland) is a musical artist, with a large body of work going back to the 1970s. Early musical career Lissauer was deeply involved in music from an early age. He played in a number bands in school, warmed up for Steppenwolf while still a teenager, and graduated with a degree in music composition from Towson University. He immediately joined the Gordon Michaels Band on A&M Records. Pursuing a life on the road, he traveled with Strangelove, Cinematrix (Chrysalis Records), Multiplex, Crack the Sky (Lifesong Records) and many others throughout the 1980s. Vigil producer Sam Praeger introduced Lissauer to Baltimore socialite Mark Davison, and they formed alternative-rock group Cubic Feet. Ernst Lissauer (16 December 1882 in Berlin – 10 December 1937 in Vienna) was a German-Jewish poet and dramatist remembered for the phrase ''Gott strafe England'' ("May God punish England"). He also created the ''Hassgesang gegen England'', orSong of Hate against England. Trevor Ryan Lissauer (born October 29, 1973) is an American actor and musician. He is best known for his role as Miles Goodman in ''Sabrina, the Teenage Witch''. Career Acting Born in Dallas, Texas to a Jewish family, Lissauer began his acting career in 1992 by booking his very first audition which was for the Roger Corman film, ''The Skateboard Kid''. He is best known for playing Miles Goodman on ''Sabrina, the Teenage Witch'' from 2000 to 2002. Music Lissauer has released two albums on his own to date; his first, self-titled, in 2001, and his second, ''Transit Plaza'', which came out in 2003 and has now been rerelased on iTunes as an album by The Glass Plastiks. Heinrich Lissauer
Heinrich Lissauer (12 September 1861 – 21 September 1891) was a German neurologist born in Neidenburg (today Nidzica, Poland). He was the son of archaeologist Abraham Lissauer (1832-1908). He studied at the Universities of Heidelberg, Berlin and Leipzig. He was a neurologist at the psychiatric hospital in Breslau, and was a one-time assistant to Carl Wernicke. In 1885 he provided a description of the dorso-lateral tract, a bundle of fibers between the apex of the posterior horn and the surface of the spinal marrow, that was to become known as "Lissauer's tract".Lissauer's tract

Robert Lissauer (May 1, 1917 – October 14, 2004) was an American composer, author, and musicologist.Obituary The Times, October 27, 2004. Born in New York City Lissauer attended the Juilliard School and then worked with Irving Berlin on his musical ''This Is the Army''. From this production "Yanks A Poppin" was developed as a show that could be performed for troops in the field. As a soldier in World War II, Lissauer managed a production unit that traveled across the Pacific Theater. Working as head of his own music publishing companies in the 1960s, Lissauer signed singer-songwriters Marsha Malamet and Judy Wieder. After the war Lissauer taught at New York University, owned a sheet music business, and managed various composers, singers, and their estates. A lifetime of experience led to his writing ''Lissauer's Encyclopedia of Popular Music in America: 1888 to the Present'', 1991 and 1996 editions. Abraham Lissauer
Abraham Lissauer (29 August 1832 – 29 September 1908) was a German physician and archaeologist born in Berent, Province of Prussia (today- Kościerzyna, Poland). He was the father of neurologist Heinrich Lissauer (1861–1891). He studied at the Universities of Berlin and Vienna, gaining his medical doctorate in 1856. From 1856 to 1863 he practiced medicine in Lautenburg and Neidenburg, and afterwards was a physician in Danzig. During his spare time he performed research in the fields of anthropology, ethnography and archaeology. In 1892 he relocated to Berlin, where he dedicated his time entirely to scientific research. Here he became custodian and librarian of the Anthropological Society of Berlin. Gallery The Early Birds of Aviation is an organization devoted to the history of early pilots. The organization was started in 1928 and accepted a membership of 598 pioneering aviators. Membership was limited to those who piloted a glider (aircraft), glider, gas balloon, or airplane, prior to December 17, 1916, covering the entirety of the Aviation in the pioneer era, pioneer era of aviation, and just over two years into Aviation in World War I, World War I. The cutoff date was set at December 17 to correspond to the first flights of Wilbur WWilbur and Orville Wright. 1916 was chosen as a cutoff because a large number of people were trained in 1917 as pilots for World War I.
