The Rivers Secondary College is a multi- campus government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school, with three campuses located in the City of Lismore in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Paul Hockings
Paul Hockings (born February 23, 1935) is an anthropologist whose prime areas of focus are the Dravidian languages, social, visual and medical anthropology. He studied archaeology and anthropology at the University of Sydney, the University of California, Berkeley, and at the universities in Chicago, Stanford and Toronto. He taught anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of Illinois at Chicago, and he has been the dean of United International College's Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Robert James Ellis (10 May 1942 – 3 April 2016) was an Australian writer, journalist, filmmaker, and political commentator. Bruce Duncan
Robert Bruce Duncan (10 October 1928 – 7 May 2005) was an Australian politician. He was the member for Lismore in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1965 to 1988, first as a member of the Country Party and then as an independent. Duncan was born in Lismore to farmer Robert Duncan and his wife Mary Mustard. He was educated at public schools in the Lismore area and became a dairy farmer at Konorigan. On 21 August 1953 he married Marlene Brown, with whom he had two sons. In 1965, Duncan was preselected as one of two Country Party candidates for the marginal Labor seat of Lismore, held by Keith Compton. The Liberal Party also endorsed a candidate, making the seat a three-cornered contest. In the event, Duncan easily led the non-Labor candidates and was able to defeat Compton on the other candidates' preferences. Vivian Yung Chow (Chinese: 周成貴, pinyin: ''Zhou Chenggui''; 1906–1941) was a Chinese-Australian journalist, who has been called "one of the key newspaper editors in China in the 1930s."
