Lise De La Salle
Lise de la Salle (born 8 May 1988) is a French classical pianist. Career De la Salle first performed aged 9 on Radio France. At 12 years old, she won the First Prize of the Seventh International Contest of Ettlingen, Germany. She is also a prize winner of the Natexis Banques Populaires Foundation, and won First Prize of "European Young Concert Artists" in Paris in October 2003, and First Prize of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York in January 2004. Young Concert Artists is a New York City-based non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and promoting the careers of talented young classical musicians from all over the world. The competition, founded in 1961, allows artists from all over the world to compete as individuals or in a chamber group, such as a string quartet. The number of winners varies from year to year, as there is no specified limit to the number of participants who can win. Winners of the competition receive a cash prize and are provided the opportunity to perform in concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Pascal Nemirovski (born 1962) is a French pianist. In 1981, he was admitted to the Juilliard School on full scholarship (Steinway & Freundlich Fund) and studied with Nadia Reisenberg, pupil of Josef Hofmann and Adele Marcus, pupil of Josef Lhevinne. As a pedagogue, he enjoys an international reputation for presenting master classes throughout the world and is often a jury member at international piano competitions. His students include celebrated pianists Lise de la Salle and Louis Schwizgebel. From 2006 to 2016, he taught at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where in 2009, he was awarded an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).
