Lisa Kruger
Lisa Kruger (born 4 September 2000) is a Dutch swimmer who is a member of the Dutch Paralympic team. She competes in the S10/SB9/SM10 classifications and her best event is the SB9 100 m breaststroke, winning the Paralympic gold medal and breaking a World and Paralympic record (1.15.47) at the Summer Paralympics in Rio the Janeiro, on 8 September 2016. She competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, in Women's 100 metre breaststroke SB9, winning a silver medal; Women's 100 metre freestyle S10, winning a bronze medal; Women's 100 metre backstroke S10, winning a bronze medal; and Women's 200 metre individual medley SM10, winning a bronze medal. Arm condition Kruger was born healthy in 2000, but in 2006 she fell from a wall, breaking several bones in her left arm. She had surgery which appeared to be successful. Harderwijk
Harderwijk (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city of the Netherlands. It is served by the Harderwijk railway station. Its population centres are Harderwijk and Hierden. Harderwijk is on the western boundary of the Veluwe. The southeastern half of the municipality is largely forests. History Harderwijk received city rights from Count Otto II of Guelders in 1231. A defensive wall surrounding the city was completed by the end of that century. The oldest part of the city is near where the streets Hoogstraat and Grote Poortstraat now are. Around 1315 the city was expanded southwards, which included the construction of what is now called the Grote Kerk (Great Church). A second, northward expansion took place around 1425. World Para Swimming Championships
The World Para Swimming Championships, known before 30 November 2016 as the IPC Swimming World Championships, are the world championships for swimming where athletes with a disability compete. They are organised by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Previously on a four-year rotation, the championships are now held biennially, a year after the regional championships and year prior to the Paralympic Games. On 30 November 2016, the IPC (which serves as the international federation for 10 disability sports, including swimming) adopted the "World Para" brand for all 10 sports. 2023 World Para Swimming Championships
The 2023 World Para Swimming Championships was the 12th edition of the World Para Swimming Championships, an international swimming competition for swimmers with disabilities. It was held in Manchester, Great Britain from 31 July to 6 August 2023. This was the third time that Great Britain have hosted the World Para Swimming Championships with Glasgow hosting in 2015 and London hosting in 2019. The World Championships serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Summer Paralympics where two top swimmers in each individual medal event final will be automatically selected to compete at the Paralympics. As a swimmer can only hold one quota, which makes them eligible for all events in their classification for which they have a qualifying time, unrequired quotas are returned to be distributed later.
