Lis Møller
Lis Møller (22 December 1918 – 24 September 1983) was a Danish journalist and Conservative People's Party politician who was elected to the Folketing for two non-consecutive periods. She joined the Young Conservatives when she was aged 15 and took part in organisational work for them. Møller joined Danmarks Radio as a programme secretary for radio in 1949 before moving to television seven years later. She focused on women's and social issues and underrepresented minorities while in Parliament and her broadcasting career focused on women's and youth, particularly social issues from those groups she worked with for organisations she was a part of. Møller was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1976. Early life On 22 December 1918, Møller was born in Copenhagen. Folketing
The Folketing ( , ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark — Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, the Folketing was the lower house of the bicameral parliament called the Rigsdag until 1953; the upper house was the Landsting. The Folketing meets in Christiansborg Palace, on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. It passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. The Association of Craftsmen in Copenhagen (Danish language, Danish: Haandværkerforeningen i Kjøbenhavn) is an interest organisation based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Its 2,200 members are owners of small and medium large companies. It is affiliated with 35 guilds and industry organisations. History The association was founded at the initiative of master joiner Lasenius Kramp in 1840 to promote the interest of craftsmen of all trades. Håndværkerforeningen acquired a former Freemasons' Hall on Kronprinsensgade (No. 7) in 1868. They had a 2000-volume library reading room and billiard room in the building but moved out after taking over Moltke's Mansion on Dronningens Tværgade in 1930. Bispebjerg Cemetery
Bispebjerg Cemetery ( Danish: Bispebjerg Kirkegård), established in 1903 on the moderately graded north slope of Bispebjerg Hill, is the newest of five municipal cemeteries in Copenhagen, Denmark. The main entrance to the cemetery is located next to the monumental Grundtvig's Church, built later in 1921–40. A tall poplar avenue extends from the main entrance towards Utterslev Mose in the west. The old chapel has been converted into a centre for dance and is now known as Dansekapellet (Chapel of Dance). One of the cemetery’s main attractions is an avenue of Japanese cherry trees that, when in bloom during spring, form a long, pink tunnel.
