Anton Tomaž Linhart
Anton Tomaž Linhart (December 11, 1756 – July 14, 1795) was a Carniolan playwright and historian, best known as the author of the first comedy and theatrical play in general in Slovene, ''Županova Micka'' (Micka, the Mayor's Daughter). He is also considered the father of Slovene historiography, since he was the first historian to write a history of all Slovenes as a unit, rejecting the previous concept which focused on single historical provinces. He was the first one to define the Slovenes as a separate ethnic group and set the foundations of Slovene ethnography. Biography Linhart was born in the Upper Carniolan town of Radovljica, at the time part of the Habsburg monarchy, and baptized ''Thomas Antonius Leanhorht''. William Charles "Buzzy" Linhart (March 3, 1943 – February 13, 2020) was an American rock performer, composer, multi-instrumentalist musician and actor. Early life Linhart was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He began playing percussion for symphony at the age of seven, switching to vibraphone at ten. At fourteen he entered the Cleveland Music School Settlement. Because of this training he led bands all through school and at the age of 18 entered the U.S. Navy School of Music as a percussionist. Buzzy had a sister, Abby Linhart, and a brother, Gair Linhart. Career In 1963, he moved to New York City and became friends and roommates with John Sebastian. He also became a protégé of the senior guitarist and folk singer Fred Neil. Toni Linhart
Anton Hans Jörg Linhart (24 July 1942 – 12 May 2013) was an Austrian football player who later started a successful career in American football in the U.S. Career Linhart was born in Donawitz, now part of Leoben, Austria. He played association football for Wiener Sportclub in the Austrian Bundesliga and also for the Austria national football team. In 1972 he moved to the US and joined the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League as a placekicker. He spent most of his NFL career with the Baltimore Colts. Linhart was voted into the Pro Bowl twice, and was the NFL's leading scorer in 1976. Toni Linhart is one of only three Austrians who have played in the NFL, the other two being Ray Wersching and Toni Fritsch, also placekickers in the 1970s. Carl James Linhart (born Karol Linhart, December 14, 1929 – January 4, 2022) was a professional baseball player who appeared in three Major League Baseball, Major League games played as a pinch hitter and pinch runner for the Detroit Tigers during the 1952 Detroit Tigers season, 1952 season. He was born in Zborov, Bardejov District, Zborov, First Czechoslovak Republic, Czechoslovakia. Pedro Linhart (born 30 December 1962) is a Spanish professional golfer. Linhart was born Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain to American parents, and took up Spanish citizenship in the 1980s. He turned professional in 1982, and after a failed visit to European Tour qualifying school in 1986 he spent time working as an assistant pro in New Jersey and playing on the mini-tour circuit in the United States. Linhart won a European Tour card at his second attempt and was a rookie on the tour in 1994. In 1995 he won the Canarias Challenge, a Challenge Tour event, on the islands of his birth. In 1999 he won the Madeira Island Open on the main European tour, but he suffered a wrist injury in 2000 and was unable to build on this success. Wenzel von Linhart (6 June 1821, Seelowitz – 22 October 1877, Würzburg) was an Austrian surgeon. He studied medicine in Vienna, where his influences included anatomist Christian Joseph Berres and surgeon Joseph Wattmann. From 1845 to 1849, he was an assistant in the lectures of Johann von Dumreicher, and in 1852 became a privat-docent of operative surgery at the University of Vienna. In 1856 he replaced Adolf Morawek (1816-1855) as professor of the surgical clinic at the University of Würzburg. As a result of his work with the wounded in the Austro-Prussian War (1866), he was named Royal Bavarian Councillor in 1867. During the Franco-Prussian War, he distinguished himself in his role as a Bavarian general physician. Cereal Killaz is an American record producer and DJ outfit, now consisting solely of Alan Linhart (a.k.a zarbizarre - born August 6, 1975 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and raised in Bowie, Maryland, United States. The music style of the act is classified as breakbeat and nu skool breaks, and has many other influences including nu metal, Florida breaks, drum and bass, industrial and indie rock. The Cereal Killaz have been listed by Annie Nightingale of BBC Radio 1 as one of the movers and shakers in the breakbeat scene.
