She is very popular in Turkey, Israel, and the Middle East, mostly thanks to her grasp over multiple languages (specifically Turkish, Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Spanish, and English). Biography Linet was born and raised in Israel. Her family had immigrated from Spain in the 15th century to the Ottoman Empire, like most Sephardic Jews, following the 1492 Alhambra decree, which exiled all Jews from Iberia. Linet Chepkwemoi Masai (born 5 December 1989) is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in track and cross country running events. She won her first world title in the 10,000 metres at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. Masai became the world junior cross country champion in 2007 and set a world junior record for the 10,000 metres at the 2008 Summer Olympics, placing fourth in the final. In 2017 she was awarded the olympic bronze medal after the initial silver medallist Elvan Abeylegesse tested positive for a banned steroid in a retest of her 2007 doping sample, thus Masai became the first kenyan woman to medal in a 10,000m olympic event. Linet Toroitich Chebet (born 4 November 1992) is a Ugandan long-distance runner. She competed in the women's marathon at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. She did not finish her race. In 2013, she competed in the senior women's race at the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships held in Bydgoszcz, Poland. She finished in 74th place. In 2014, she represented Uganda at the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland in the women's 10,000 metres event. She finished in 6th place out of 13 competitors. After the general election on 9 August 2022, Chepkorir, better known as Toto, is presumed to be the youngest woman to be elected to the National Assembly, currently the Woman Representative in Bomet County. Early life Linet Chepkorir, popularly known as Toto, was the third born child to Leonard Lang’at and Betty Lang’at in Chemomul, Bomet County.
