Nørresundby
Nørresundby () is a city in Aalborg Municipality, north of Limfjorden, in Vendsyssel, in Denmark. The urban area has a population of 23,718 (1 January 2021). It is located just north of Aalborg, which lies south of Limfjorden. Statistically its own urban area since 2006, it is often still considered part of Aalborg, sometimes the name Greater Aalborg (''Stor-Aalborg'') is used to describe the concept. The city is connected to Aalborg by Limfjordsbroen, which is a road bridge, and an iron railway bridge, as well as a motorway (E45) passing it to the east and running under the Limfjord. Nørresundby is the site of the Lindholm Høje settlement and burial ground from the Germanic Iron Age and Viking times. There is also a museum on the site. Lindholm is a small Danish uninhabited island located in Stege Bugt. Lindholm covers an area of 0.07 km2. Vordingborg Municipality
Vordingborg () is a municipality ('' kommune'') in the Sjælland Region, which is on the southeast coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in south Denmark. It was established in 2007. The municipality covers an area of 621 km2. It has a total population of 46,600 (2006). Lindholm Strait (Russian: ''Proliv Lindgol'ma'') is a strait in the northwestern Sea of Okhotsk. It separates Malyy Shantar and Belichiy Islands to the north from the Tugur Peninsula to the south. At its narrowest it is only 3.2 km (2 mi) wide. Tides are semidiurnal. Springs rise 4.9 m (16 ft), while neaps rise 3.6 m (11.8 ft). The flood current sets west, while the stronger ebb current flows in the opposite direction. The former creates large eddies and whirlpools. Risum-Lindholm ( frr, Risem-Loonham) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Lindholm (manor House)
Lindholm is a manor house and estate located in Lejre Municipality, between Roskilde and Yølløse, some 30 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been owned by members of the von Plassen family since 1728 and is now part of the Londholm-Selsø estate.. Lindholm's home farm (''avlsgård'') is operated under the name Farm of Ideas in collaboration with the chef Christian Puglisi. It is used as a venue for various gastronomy and sustainability related events and delivers fresh produce for his restaurants in Copenhagen. Lindholm Amulet
The Lindholm "amulet", listed as DR 261 in Rundata, is a bone piece, carved into the shape of a rib, dated to the 2nd to 4th centuries (the late Roman Iron Age) and has a runic inscription. The Lindholm bone piece is dated between 375CE to 570CE and it is around 17 centimeters long at its longest points. It currently resides at Lund University Historical Museum in Sweden. It was found in 1840 in Skåne, Sweden, while cutting peat from a bog. This cut the bone in half and resulted in the destruction of one rune in the second line of text though most of the artifact remained intact. These runic objects were offered to the water in the bogs, the same is probably true in other regions in lakes and streams, but these objects are more difficult to retrieve. Bogs provide near perfect preservation for these types of artifacts thanks to the static, murky waters allowing them to rest undisturbed and unreachable for thousands of years. Lindholm Station
Lindholm railway station is a railway station serving the district of Lindholm in the city of Nørresundby in Vendsyssel, Denmark. The station is located on the Vendsyssel railway line from Aalborg to Frederikshavn and is part of the Aalborg Commuter Rail service. North of Lindholm station the Aalborg Airport railway line branches west to Aalborg Airport. The station opened in 2002. The train services are operated by the railway companies DSB and Nordjyske Jernbaner. History Lindholm station opened in 2002 as a part of the new Aalborg Commuter Rail service. The station is located about north of the old which was closed in 1972. For a year 2012-2013, there was no train service, only bus service, since the Limfjord Railway Bridge across the Limfjord between Nørresundby and Aalborg was damaged and unusable for trains due to a ship collision.
