Mankato ( ) is a city in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, Blue Earth, Nicollet County, Minnesota, Nicollet, and Le Sueur County, Minnesota, Le Sueur counties in the state of Minnesota. KXAC (100.5 FM, "Minnesota 100") is a radio station in Mankato, Minnesota serving south central Minnesota with a Country music format. The station is licensed to St. James and serves the Mankato area and the Minnesota River Valley. The station is owned by Linder Radio Group. History The station went on the air in 1991, playing soft adult contemporary music and later switching to an oldies format in April 2001. KXAC eventually shifted to classic hits as "Classic Hits 100.5 KXAC", dropping the former "Oldies 100.5" brand. KRRW (105.9 FM; "North Star Country 105.9") is a radio station broadcasting a classic country format in New Ulm, Minnesota (licensed to Winthrop). The station serves the New Ulm area, as well as the Mankato metropolitan area with a fringe signal. KRRW is owned by Linder Radio Group. Marshall, Minnesota
Marshall is a city in Lyon County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 13,680 at the 2010 census. Marshall is a regional center in southwest Minnesota, and the county seat of Lyon County. It is the headquarters of the Schwan Food Company and the home of Southwest Minnesota State University. History Marshall was platted in 1872 when the railroad was extended to that point. Lake Marshall Township had been established in the area two years earlier, and included a post office and several farms. Before that, the site was occasionally used as a campground for groups of Dakota, who hunted and traveled throughout the region. After much discussion, James J.
