''Lindenstraße'' (literally "Linden Street") was a long-running German television drama series, broadcast by Das Erste. The first episode aired on 8 December 1985 and since then new episodes were broadcast weekly until 2020. Its last timeslot on Das Erste was Sundays at 18:50. The events of the Sunday episode usually take place on the Thursday before the show. This is a result of the original plan having been to show each episode on a Thursday night. Before the start of the series the programme's timeslot was switched to Sunday evening, but Thursday remained the day on which the events are normally shown as taking place, because the original concept of dramatizing the events of daily life as experienced by a group of characters on an ordinary weekday has continued unchanged. Entführung aus der Lindenstraße (meaning 'Kidnap from Linden Street') is a German television film directed by George Moorse. It was produced in 1995 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the German television series Lindenstraße, and stars many cast members of that show. Plot The ARD television series ''Lindenstraße'' is about to be cancelled after its ten-year run. Obsessive ''Lindenstraße'' fan and head computer programmer of the GEZ, Detlef Hase (portrayed by Herbert Feuerstein) is distraught. He enters the production studio of the show posing as a tourist, sneaks backstage, and kidnaps the actress Marie-Luise Marjan (playing herself) at gunpoint. He calls her 'Helga' or 'Frau Beimer', her ''Lindenstraße'' stage-name, and is infatuated with her. He takes her to an unoccupied castle which belongs to a distant relative of his, and forces her to record a video stating that unless the show ''Lindenstraße'' is renewed, the record of all GEZ TV-licenses will be deleted. ...

Georg Uecker
Georg Uecker (born 6 November 1962 in Munich) is a German actor. Since 1985, he has played the character of ''Dr. Carsten Flöter'' on the popular German TV series Lindenstraße on ARD. Controversially, in 1987, he kissed ''Gert Weinbauer'' (played by actor Günter Barton). This was the first gay kiss in a German series in the evening. A second kiss was in 1990 with character ''Robert Engel'' (actor Martin Armknecht) this brought about discussions on LGBT topics in the media. Uecker still continues to play the character. His other television credits include ''Schillerstraße'' (an improvisational comedy show) and he is often a guest on ''Genial daneben'' (a quiz programme with comedians). Larry Martin Hagman (September 21, 1931 – November 23, 2012) was an American film and television actor, director, and producer, best known for playing ruthless oil baron J. R.
