Linda Zetchiri
Linda Zetchiri ( bg, Линда Зечири; born 27 July 1987) is a Bulgarian badminton player. She competed in the women's singles at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Zetchiri is one of the leading Bulgarian players in the sport. She was the bronze medallists at the 2005 European Junior and 2012 European Championships. She competed at the 2015 Baku and 2019 Minsk European Games. Personal life Zetchiri was born in Sofia (Bulgaria) of mixed ancestry. has Kosovo Albanian (through her grandfather) and Italian roots (on her grandmother's side). And her mom is Bulgarian. Her sister, Dzhema, serves as her sports manager. Yao Jie
Yao Jie (; born 10 April 1977) is a Chinese-born badminton player who now resides in the Netherlands. Yao is one of a number of badminton players who have emigrated from China, in part, because the depth of badminton talent in that country has made it difficult for them to be selected for major international competitions. Prior to her move to the Netherlands, she won the BWF World Junior Championships in girls' doubles with Liu Lu in 1994 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and helps the Chinese national women's team clinched a gold medal at the 1997 East Asian Games. But her passion was for the ladies singles event. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). Jeanine Cicognini (born 14 November 1986) is a Swiss badminton player who now represents Italy. Cicognini won her first Swiss senior title at age 16 and has since won the award seven more times. Biography In 2005, she won the silver medal at the European Junior Badminton Championships in the girls' singles event. Cicognini became a badminton professional as soon as she left school. She soon moved to Denmark, and then moved to the International Badminton Federation's training centre in Saarbrücken, Germany. In 2010, she returned to Switzerland and joined the sport army, where she played for the BC Uzwil. She later moved to Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany and played for the 1.BV Mülheim in the first bundesliga.
