Linda Sorenson
Linda Sorenson (born January 19, 1940) is a Canadian film, television and voice actress, best known for playing Mrs. Stegman in ''Class of 1984'', Warden Howe in '' Murphy Brown'', Virginia Reeves in '' Material World'' and Isabelle Carrington in '' Road to Avonlea''. She has appeared in a number of film and television roles. She voiced Love-a-Lot Bear in the Care Bears TV series, Blanche the Persian Cat in Webkinz and the old woman in ''Barbie and the Diamond Castle''. Sorenson has won two Genie Awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in ''Joshua Then and Now'' and ''Draw!''. ''Stone Cold Dead'' is a 1979 Canadian film directed by George Mendeluk and starring Richard Crenna and Paul Williams. Premise A Toronto detective (Richard Crenna) searches for a serial killer who shoots prostitutes. The detective is also determined to arrest the pushy pimps, and a few undercover cops get killed as they try to infiltrate the hooker trade. Cast Production Crenna said he was drawn to the film partly because his character survives the events of the plot, something that few of his characters had done recently. Mendeluk used both actresses and real-life Toronto prostitutes during filming. Shooting took place during November and December 1978 in Toronto, and production ended in February 1979. ''Popples'' is an animated television series, based on the Popples toys, created by Marie Cisterino, Janet Jones, Fran Kariotakis, Janet Redding, and Susan Trentel, that aired in syndication in the United States from 1986 to 1987 and Sky Channel in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1988. The cartoon was produced by DIC Enterprises and LBS Communications in association with The Maltese Companies. Like the toys which they are based on, the Popples resemble colorful teddy bears/rabbits with long, pompom-tipped tails, and they have pouches on their backs that allow them to curl into a fuzzy ball. All the Popples stutter when they say words with the letter "P" in them. The name "Popple" is a reference to the popping sound they make when unfolding themselves from such a ball, or pulling objects from their pouches.
