Linda Slocum
Linda J. Slocum (born July 11, 1950) is an American politician and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represented District 50A, which included portions of the cities of Bloomington and Richfield in Hennepin County, which is part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. She was a geography and American history teacher at Field Middle School in Minneapolis. Early life, education, and career Slocum graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa with a B.A. in Psychology, and also took graduate studies in education at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Michael Howard (American Politician)
Michael Howard (born 1983/1984) is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), Howard represents District 51A in the south-central Twin Cities metropolitan area, which includes the city of Richfield and parts of Minneapolis in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Early life, education, and career Howard was raised in Becker, Minnesota. He attended Augsburg College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. During college, he was an intern for U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone's campaign in 2002. After graduating, Howard worked as a personal care assistant for children with autism. He worked on Mike Freeman's election campaign for Hennepin County attorney in 2006. Indianola is a city in Warren County, Iowa, United States, located south of downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The population was 15,833 at the time of the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Warren County. Indianola is home to the National Balloon Classic, a nine-day hot air balloon festival held annually in the summer, the Des Moines Metro Opera, a world renowned major American Summer Opera Festival, and Simpson College. Twin cities are a special case of two neighboring cities or urban centres that grow into a single conurbation – or narrowly separated urban areas – over time. There are no formal criteria, but twin cities are generally comparable in status and size, though not necessarily equal; a city and a substantially smaller suburb would not typically qualify, even if they were once separate.
