Lincoln Rock State Park
Lincoln Rock State Park is a public recreation area on the east side of the Columbia River's Lake Entiat, north of Wenatchee and one mile upstream from the Rocky Reach Dam. The state park covers opposite the cliff formation for which it is named. The park provides views of the south end of Swakane Canyon and of Turtle Rock Island in Lake Entiat, a 150-acre nature preserve that was isolated from the mainland when the lake formed in the 1960s. The park offers water activities, including fishing, boating, and swimming, in addition to facilities for picnicking, camping, hiking, and field sports. Douglas County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. As of the 2020 census, its population was 42,938. The county seat is Waterville, while its largest settlement is East Wenatchee. Lake Entiat
Lake Entiat (also known as Rocky Reach Reservoir) is a reservoir between Chelan County and Douglas County in North Central Washington, USA, that is formed above Rocky Reach Dam (built 1962), a hydroelectric dam on the Columbia River. Rocky Reach Dam
Rocky Reach Dam is a run-of-the-river hydroelectric dam in the U.S. state of Washington owned and operated by Chelan County Public Utility District. It has 11 generators rated in total 1300 MW. The project is on the Columbia River in north central Washington state about upstream from the city of Wenatchee. The dam is above the mouth of the Columbia. The reservoir impounded by the dam is Lake Entiat. The project provides energy for more than 7 million people throughout the Pacific Northwest. Rocky Reach is nationally recognized for efforts to protect the environment. Washington State Parks And Recreation Commission
The Washington State Park System is a set of state parks owned by the state government of Washington, USA. They are managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. There are over 140 parks throughout the state, including 19 marine parks and 11 Historical Parks. The park system was established in 1913 by the creation of the Washington State Board of Park Commissioners. The first two parks were formed from donated land in 1915, and by 1929 the state had seven parks. In 1947 the State Parks Committee was renamed to the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission and given authority to oversee the state park system.
