The El Paso Independent School District (or EPISD) is the largest school district serving El Paso, Texas (USA). Originally organized in 1883, it is currently the largest district in the Texas Education Agency's Educational Service Center (ESC) Region 19, as well as the largest district within the city of El Paso and El Paso County. The EPISD also provides public education to the children of U.S. Army soldiers stationed at Fort Bliss. The district headquarters are located in El Paso. Lincoln Middle School is a middle school in the Deering Center neighborhood of Portland, Maine. The school is located on Stevens Avenue, which has the unusual distinction of having an elementary school, middle school, two high schools, and a college all situated on it. The new principal of the school as of the 2014–2015 school year is Suellyn Santiago who was the assistant principal and a math teacher previously. The Metropolitan School District of Pike Township is a school district in the northwestern portion of Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Founded in 1937 for grades K-12, the district is relatively diverse, with a 91.1% nonwhite student population, with over 400 international students who represent 41 different countries and speak 50 languages. The district has nine elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school, and one alternative learning school. The average student/teacher ratio is 17 to 1 in academic classrooms.
