Lin Ling-san
Lin Ling-san (; 16 April 1944 – 26 November 2022) was a Taiwanese politician. He served as Minister of Transportation and Communications from 2002 to 2006. In 2009 the Control Yuan voted to impeach Lin for illegally investing in the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp. Lin (; ) is the Mandarin romanization of the Chinese surname written 林. It is also used in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Among Taiwanese and Chinese families from abroad, it is sometimes pronounced and spelled as Lim because many Chinese descendants are part of the Southern Min diaspora that speak Min Nan, Hokkien or Teochew. The Control Yuan is the supervisory and auditory branch of the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Prior to constitutional reforms in the 1990s, the Control Yuan, along with National Assembly (electoral college) and the Legislative Yuan (lower house) formed the national tricameral parliament. ''The China Post'' () was an English-language newspapers published in Taiwan (officially the Republic of China), alongside the ''Taipei Times'' and the ''Taiwan News''. ''The China Post'' was established by Mr. and Mrs. Y. P. Huang in 1952. In April 2017, ''The China Post'' announced that the print edition of the publication would end, though the website and mobile application would remain active. In October 2017, the original China Post website was discontinued and merged with news agency NOWnews. The China Post, however, is still a member of Asia News Network.
