Liman, Israel
Liman ( he, לִימַן) is a moshav in northern Israel. Located in the Western Galilee about north of Nahariya, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Asher Regional Council. In it had a population of . Its area is about 2400 dunams and most residents work in agriculture, including chicken raising. Mateh Asher Regional Council
The Mateh Asher Regional Council ( he, מועצה אזורית מטה אשר, ''Mo'atza Azorit Mateh Asher'') is a regional council in the western Galilee of northern Israel. It is named after the Tribe of Asher which had been allotted the region in antiquity according to the Book of Joshua (19:24–31). It was founded in 1982 as a merger of three regional councils: Ga'aton, Na'aman and Sulam Tzor. The council's offices are located on Highway 4, between Regba and Lohamei HaGeta'ot. The regional council was established in 1982, now stretches over 216,059 dunams and includes some 17,300 residents. As of 2008, the head of the regional council is Yehuda Shavit, and the chief rabbi is Rabbi Shlomo Ben Eliyahu. al-Bassa' ( ar, البصة) was a Palestinians, Palestinian Arab village in the Mandatory Palestine's Acre Subdistrict, Mandatory Palestine, Acre Subdistrict. It was situated close to the Blue Line (Lebanon), Lebanese border, north of the district capital, Acre (city), Acre, and above sea level. A moshav ( he, מוֹשָׁב, plural ', lit. ''settlement, village'') is a type of Israeli town or settlement, in particular a type of cooperative agricultural community of individual farms settler, pioneered by the Labor Zionism, Labour Zionists between 1904 and 1914, during what is known as the Second Aliyah, second wave of ''aliyah''.
