Lim Tong Hai
Lim Tong Hai (born 14 May 1969) was a centre-back for the Singapore national football team from 1989 to 1999. He held various backroom roles at former club Geylang United after retiring from his playing career until his departure in 2012. Club career Lim played for Geylang International (later renamed Geylang United) in the FAS Premier League before signing for the Singapore Lions in 1994. He formed a strong partnership with South Korean Jang Jung in the heart of defence as the Lions achieved the M-League and Malaysia Cup double in 1994. With the withdrawal of the Lions from Malaysian competitions and subsequent launch of the S.League, he signed for Tiong Bahru United (later renamed Tanjong Pagar United) in 1996. 1993 Southeast Asian Games
The 1993 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 17th Southeast Asian Games were held in Singapore from 12 to 19 June 1993 with 29 sports in 440 events featured in this edition. This was the third time Singapore hosted the games after 1983 and 1973 competition. It was opened by President Wee Kim Wee. The Games featured 29 sports in 440 events. Nazri Nasir
Nazri Nasir (born 17 January 1971) is a Singaporean professional football manager and former footballer. He was the captain of the Singapore national team from 1997 to 2003, and led the team to the 1998 AFF Championship title. He was a defensive midfielder known for his "combative, hard-running and ferocious tackling style". Club career Nazri began his career with Jurong Town in Singapore's FAS Premier League in 1988. where he won the President's Cup in 1988 and 1989. David Lee (Singaporean Footballer)
David Lee (born 10 April 1958) is a Singaporean former footballer who played for the Singapore national football team and Geylang United FC as a goalkeeper. Football career Club career In 1982, Lee, with Fandi Ahmad, joined Indonesian club Niac Mitra. In 1983, Lee left Niac Mitra due to a sudden Galatama League ban on foreign players. In 1987, Lee joined the Tyrwhitt Soccerites, playing in Division Two in Singapore football. At the end of 1988, Lee joined Jurong Town FC, despite Tyrwhitt Soccerites promoted from Division Two to Division One in 1988 and then promoted to the FAS Premier League at the end of the 1988 season. He was part of the Singapore M-League side that won the 1994 Malaysia Cup and M-League title. He had also won the first ever S-league title and Singapore Cup "double", with Geylang Utd in 1996. Hassan Sunny
Hassan bin Abdullah Sunny (born 2 April 1984) is a Singaporean professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Singapore Premier League club for Singapore Premier League club Albirex Niigata (S) and the Singapore national team. Noh Rahman
Mohamed Noh bin Rahman (born 2 August 1980) is a retired Singaporean footballer who played as a defender. A cultured fullback, Noh Rahman's versatility means he can be employed in defence and in midfield for both club and country. Kim Grant (footballer)
Kim Tyrone Grant (born 25 September 1972) is a former professional footballer who has been involved in top level professional football for over 24 years, playing in Europe and Asia. Club career Born in Sekondi-Takoradi, Grant started his career at Charlton Athletic in their youth system and he signed his first professional contract in March 1991. He went on to make 155 appearances spanning over nine years and scoring 25 goals. He later made appearances for Charlton against Manchester United and Liverpool in the FA Cup and scored a 20-yard curler to beat David James in a 2–1 defeat to in 1996. Prime League
The Prime League was the reserve and youth team soccer league of Singapore's S.League. Teams involved in the league are primarily made up of youth players from the S.League clubs. The Prime League was founded in 1997. S.League clubs are required to participate, and clubs who do not play at S.League level are also eligible to enter. In 2018, the Prime League was abolished, with the National Football League (NFL) installed as the second-tier competition. Kallang
Kallang is a planning area and residential town located in the Central Region of Singapore. Development of the town is centered around the Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore.
