Lim Boon Heng
Lim Boon Heng (; born 18 November 1947) is a Singaporean former politician. A former member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he was a Member of Parliament (MP) between 1980 and 2011, and had served in the Cabinet between 2001 and 2011. He also served as Chairman of the People's Action Party between 2004 and 2011. Lim had also served as Chairman of NTUC Enterprise Co-operative, Deputy Chairman of the Singapore Labour Foundation, Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Deputy Chairman of the People's Association. Since retiring from politics, Lim has been serving as the chairman of Temasek Holdings since 2013. Early life Lim grew up in a small farm in Punggol, Singapore. Ang Wei Neng (; born 1967) is a Singaporean politician and businessman. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Nanyang division of West Coast GRC since 2020 and previously the Jurong Central division of Jurong GRC between 2011 and 2020. Education Ang was educated at The Chinese High School and Hwa Chong Junior College before graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Social Sciences with honours degree under a scholarship conferred by the Public Service Commission (PSC). Punggol, alternatively spelled as Ponggol, is a Planning Areas of Singapore, planning area and New towns of Singapore, new town situated on the Tanjong Punggol peninsula in the North-East Region, Singapore, North-East Region of Singapore. The People's Association (PA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) of the Government of Singapore that oversees neighbourhood grassroots communities and social organisations. Established in 1960, it was part of a nation-building programme to promote social cohesion and multiracialism. The Kebun Baru Single Member Constituency is a single member constituency in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. The current Member of Parliament for the constituency is Henry Kwek of the People's Action Party (PAP). Dixie Tan
Dixie Tan Mo Chun née Lee ( zh, t=, s=李慕真, p=Lǐ Mùzhēn; 6 November 1935 – 23 April 2014) was a Singaporean cardiologist and politician who served as a Member of Parliament for the Ulu Pandan constituency from 1984 to 1991. She was a member of the People's Action Party (PAP). Career In 1984, Tan became a member of the Parliament of Singapore after she was nominated unopposed on Nomination Day, shortly before the 1984 general election. Tan became one of three new female members to enter Parliament in 1984, together with Aline Wong and Yu-Foo Yee Shoon. The trio became the first women to serve in Parliament in fourteen years. She represented Ulu Pandan in parliament until her retirement in 1991. She then worked as a family and marital therapist. Death Tan died at Singapore General Hospital on 23 April 2014, aged 78, following a two-month illness with brain cancer.
