Lim Boo Chang
Lim Boo Chang (born 25 November 1955 in Penang, Malaysia; ; pinyin: ''Lín Wú Chán'') is a Malaysian politician. Educations He obtained three separate academic achievements: Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from North East London Polytechnic in 1981; Barrister-at-law from Lincoln's Inn in 1984, and ; Master of Literature from Nanjing University in 2006. Politics He was appointed to serve as a Penang Island Municipal Councillor from 1990 to 1995. He was elected and served for two consecutive terms as the Penang State Legislative Assemblyman of Datok Keramat from 1995 to 1999, and from 1999 to 2004. Lim is the son of Datuk Lim Ee Heong, a veteran politician who helped Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu in the formation of Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (GERAKAN), which took over the Penang state government in 1969 from the then Alliance Party. People's Justice Party
The People's Justice Party ( ms, Parti Keadilan Rakyat , often known simply as KEADILAN or PKR) is a reformist political party in Malaysia, formed in 2003 by a merger of the National Justice Party and the older Malaysian People's Party. The party was led by Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and increased its parliamentary representation from one seat to 31 seats in the 2008 general election, until the five-year political ban imposed on former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was lifted on 14 April 2008. 1999 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Monday, 29 November 1999 for members of the 10th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 193 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. State elections also took place in 394 state constituencies in 11 out of 13 states of Malaysia (except Sabah and Sarawak) on the same day. The Alliance Party ( ms, Parti Perikatan) was a political coalition in Malaysia. Lim Chong Eu
Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu (; 28 May 1919 – 24 November 2010) was a Malaysian politician who served as the 2nd Chief Minister of Penang from May 1969 to October 1990. He was also the founding president of Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (GERAKAN). He was termed the "Architect of Modern Penang". Early life Lim was born in 1919 in Penang. He is the older brother of Lim Chong Keat, the architect and botanist. He attended school at the Penang Free School, where he was the King's Scholar in 1937. Kampung Datuk Keramat or more commonly referred to as Keramat (old name - Tangga Cina) among the locals is a large zone in the Titiwangsa constituency, falling within the boundary of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Penang State Legislative Assembly
The Penang State Legislative Assembly is the legislature of the Malaysian state of Penang. It is a unicameral institution, consisting of a total of 40 elected lawmakers representing single-member constituencies throughout Penang.
