Lilydale Football Club
The Lilydale Football Club is an Australian rules football club located in the outer eastern Melbourne suburb of Lilydale. Known as the "Falcons", the club fields both senior and junior teams in the Eastern Football League. History The Lilydale Football Club is one of the oldest Australian Rules clubs, having been formed in 1872 and incorporated in 1984. The club has played in official football competitions since 1891 and have won many senior football premiership during that time. The club's early years were most distinguished, winning an incredible 18 senior football premierships prior to World War Two. Most of the club's early success was in the powerful Yarra Valley Football League, winning nine premierships between 1909 and 1965, before the YVFL merged with the Mountain District Football League in 1966 to then form the Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League. The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Founded in the suburb of North Melbourne in 1869 and based at the Arden Street Oval, it is the 4th oldest club in the competition and one of the oldest surviving clubs in the world. Kieran Harper is a former professional Australian rules footballer. Harper played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League, also known and referred to as the AFL. Kieran was taken with pick 27 in the 2010 AFL Draft, 2010 national draft and made his debut in Round 6, 2011 against . He remained with the club until he was delisted in October 2015. The Hawthorn Football Club, nicknamed the Hawks, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Mulgrave, Victoria, that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). Fitzroy Football Club
The Fitzroy Football Club is an Australian rules football club currently competing in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). Formed in 1883 to represent the inner-Melbourne municipality of Fitzroy, the club was a member of the Victorian Football Association (VFA), before becoming a foundation member of the breakaway Victorian Football League (VFL/AFL) in 1897. Fitzroy won a total of eight VFL premierships, of which seven (1898, 1899, 1904, 1905, 1913, 1916 and 1922) were won whilst they were nicknamed the Maroons and one (1944) as the Gorillas. Fraser Brown (born 18 August 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. Originally from Lilydale, Victoria and known for his fierce style of play, Brown's highest achievements in football were playing in the 1995 premiership and winning the 1998 Carlton best and fairest. Brown will long be remembered for his gripping tackle on Dean Wallis in the 1999 Preliminary Final against Essendon. With Carlton desperately hanging on a one-point lead, and with just seconds remaining, Brown laid a bear hug on Wallis as he tried to baulk him and run into an open goal from 50 metres out.
