Lily McInerny (born December 13, 1998) is an American actress. She was nominated for Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards for her role in the 2022 film ''Palm Trees and Power Lines''. Early life From New York, McInerny began acting at elementary school when she was eight years-old. Aged thirteen, she successfully auditioned for Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. After high school she attended college in Vermont studying for a degree in performing arts. The East Village is a neighborhood on the East Side of Lower Manhattan in New York City. Second Stage Theater is a theater company founded in 1979 by Robyn Goodman and Carole Rothman and located in Manhattan, New York City. It produces both new plays and revivals of contemporary American plays by new playwrights and established writers. ''Camp Siegfried'' is a play by Bess Wohl. Its setting is the real Camp Siegfried where American children of German descent were taught Nazi ideology. Background Playwright Wohl had rented a house in Bellport, Long Island, and had researched the nearby town of Yaphank. She discovered the town had hosted a camp for German-American youth, and felt it had the makings of a drama. Productions ''Camp Siegfried'' premiered at The Old Vic theatre in London, in a production starring Patsy Ferran as Her and Luke Thallon as Him.
