Karlin Lillington
Karlin J. Lillington is an Irish technology and business journalist, notable for her work with ''The Irish Times'', ''The Guardian'', ''Wired'', Salon.com and other newspapers, magazines and online publishers. Born in Canada and growing up in California, she holds a PhD in Anglo-Irish Literature from Trinity College Dublin. Her work also formed a basis for a judicial appeal which voided the European Union's Data Retention Directive. She has been a member of the board of Ireland's public service broadcaster, Raidió Teilifís Éireann, and is a long-serving member of the advisory board of Dublin's Science Gallery. Early life and education Lillington was born in Canada, and moved to California at an early age. Lillington, Warwickshire
Lillington is a suburb of Leamington Spa, in the civil parish of Royal Leamington Spa, in the Warwick District in the county of Warwickshire, England. Historically a village which existed before the time of the ''Domesday Book'' (1086), it was incorporated into the borough of Leamington in 1890. Lillington is a ward of Warwick District Council and Royal Leamington Spa Town Council. Geography Lillington itself has two main areas – the new centre based around Crown Way which contains shops, dry cleaners and a post office. The area was predominantly built as a council house estate from 1950 onwards, and contains three tower blocks. Lillington is a town in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,194 at the 2010 census, and was estimated in 2018 to be 3,604. It is the county seat of Harnett County. Lillington is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area as defined by the United States Census Bureau. Geography Lillington is located near the geographic center of Harnett County. U.S. Route 401 (Main Street) passes through the center of town, leading north to Raleigh, the state capital, and south to Fayetteville. U.S. Route 421 follows US-401 along North Main Street through the town, but turns west out of town via West Front Street, leading to Sanford. US-421 turns east from US-401 near the northern end of town and leads southeast to Dunn. The Lillingtons were a pop-punk band formed in 1995 in Newcastle, Wyoming. The band is composed of its original members, vocalist and lead guitarist Kody Templeman, drummer Tim O’Hara, bassist Cory Laurence, and later added rhythm guitarist Alex Volonino. History The original lineup consisting of Kody Templeman, Zack Rawhauser, Cory Laurence, and Tim (Timmy V) O'Hara as a four-piece only recorded the first 7","I Lost My Marbles", produced by Joe King of The Queers for his ''More Bounce to the Ounce'' compilation CD. The band continued as a three-piece after Zack quit. Their first full-length album, titled ''Shit Out of Luck'', was released on Clearview Records in 1996. Following the release of their first album the band changed their lyrical focus. In 1999 they went into the studio with producer-engineer Mass Giorgini to record a new LP. Lillington Gardens is an estate in the Pimlico area of the City of Westminster, London, constructed in phases between 1961 and 1971 to a plan by Roger Westman and Darbourne & Darke. The estate was formerly owned and managed by CityWest Homes. Lillington is a hamlet and civil parish in north west Dorset, England, situated south of Sherborne. Dorset County Council estimate that the population of the civil parish was 50 in 2013.
