Maria Liliana Olivero (born 20 January 1956) is a former member of the Legislature of Córdoba, provincial legislature in Córdoba Province, Argentina. She is a member of the Socialist Left (Argentina). She was elected in 2003, and re-elected in 2007 and 2011, the last time as a candidate of the Workers' Left Front. She was the Front's no. 1 candidate for Córdoba Province in the 2013 Argentine legislative election. She only missed election narrowly, and there was a dispute over the result. In December 2013 she stood down as a provincial deputy, under the agreement to rotate the Front's seats, and handed over to Cintia Frencia. She is a child psychologist, and has two children. Legislature Of Córdoba
The Legislature of Córdoba ( es, Legislatura de la provincia de Córdoba) is the unicameral legislative body of Córdoba Province, in Argentina. It comprises 70 legislators, of which 23 are elected directly in each of the 23 departments of Córdoba, while the remaining 44 are elected in a single province-wide district. All legislators serve four-year terms and are elected concurrently. The unicameral Legislature was created in 2001 following a reform to the provincial constitution; before that, Córdoba was one of nine (now eight) provinces counting with a bicameral legislature, split between a Senate and a Chamber of Deputies. Workers' Left Front
The Workers' Left Front – Unity ( es, Frente de Izquierda y de los Trabajadores – Unidad, FIT-U) is an alliance of initially three Trotskyist parties in Argentina formed to fight a number of elections in 2011, announced at a press conference in April that year. They are the Workers' Party (PO), the Socialist Workers' Party (PTS), and Socialist Left (IS). In 2019, the Workers' Socialist Movement (MST) joined the alliance. These parties had stood separately at the Argentine elections of 2007 and 2009, the PO on its own, and the PTS and IS in an alliance with the Movement for Socialism (MAS). 2013 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 27 October 2013. Open primary elections (PASO) were previously held on 11 August 2013 to determine eligible party lists for the general election. As in 2011 – when such primaries were held for the first time – each party list had to reach a 1.5% threshold at the provincial level in order to proceed to the 27 October polls. The elections renewed half of the members of the Chamber of Deputies for the period 2013–2017 and a third of the members of the Senate for the period 2013–2019.
