Lilian Drescher
Lilian Drescher Kelaidis (born 23 May 1965) is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. Biography Tennis career Born in Venezuela, Drescher was the Junior Orange Bowl (14 & Under) champion in 1979, representing her native country. In the 1980s she played for several years on the professional circuit, based in Switzerland. Drescher represented Switzerland in the women's singles at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, which was a demonstration event. The only Swiss player in the draw, she had wins over Elizabeth Minter and Renata Šašak, before being eliminated in the quarterfinals by sixth seeded Italian Raffaella Reggi. She also played Federation Cup tennis for Switzerland, in 1984 and 1985, featuring in the second round both years. In 1985 she won a Federation Cup singles match against Czechoslovakia's Helena Suková, but Switzerland lost the tie to the reigning champions. Raffaella Reggi
Raffaella Reggi (; born 27 November 1965) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. Career As a junior, Reggi won the Orange Bowl 16 and under in 1981. She was a member of the Continental Players Cup Team in 1982. Reggi won the mixed doubles title at the US Open in 1986, partnering Sergio Casal. She was a singles quarter-finalist at the French Open in 1987, and reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 13 in 1988. One of the highlights of her career was winning the Italian Open in 1985. In 1985 she became the first Italian woman to win the Italian Open since Annelies Ullstein-Bossi won in 1950. Ullstein-Bossi, Reggi, and 2014 finalist Sara Errani are the only Italian women to reach the singles final of Italy's top tennis tournament since World War II. Nicolas Kelaidis
Nicolas Kelaidis (born 29 October 1949) is a Greek former professional tennis player. Biography Kelaidis was born in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, which had a large Greek population at the time. He played college tennis in the United States, at Clemson University from 1968 to 1971. During the 1970s, Kelaidis competed on the professional tennis circuit and was a regular member of the Greece Davis Cup team, featuring in a total of 10 ties. He appeared in the main draws of the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon. For most of the 1980s he was a coach for the Swiss Tennis Federation, then spent a decade coaching for the French Federation, with his roles at both focusing on women's tennis. Shawn Foltz-Emmons (born 21 December 1967) is an American former professional tennis player. Tennis career A right-handed player from Indianapolis, Foltz was a rising star in junior tennis who was unable to fulfil her promise on the professional tour, in a career which was curtailed by serious wrist injuries. She reached a career high ranking of 55 while touring as an amateur and was runner-up at the 1984 Japan Open. The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) is the principal organizing body of women's professional tennis. It governs the WTA Tour which is the worldwide professional tennis tour for women and was founded to create a better future for women's tennis.
