Lilia Sandulesu
Lilia Sandulesu (Ukrainian: Лілія Сандулесу; born in 1958) is a Ukrainian pop singer. People's Artist of Ukraine (1996). Biography Lilia Sandulesu was born in village Marshyntsi, Chernivtsi oblast in 1958. In 1977 she won a gold medal at the first all-Union festival of Amateur performance, from the same moment she was a member of the ensemble "Zhiva Voda" in the Chernivtsi Philharmonic. Since 1980 she began to sing in the Volyn Philharmonic in the ensembles "Svityaz" and "Serpanki" together with Alexander Serov, at the same time she became famous. She was invited to government concerts in Kiev and Moscow. In 1984 she was invited to the Kiev music hall. Over time, she changed her last name to the Ukrainian manner (Sandulesa). In 1985 she reached the final of the all-Union festival "Pesnya goda" with the song of the composer Volodymyr Bystryakov "Goncharny grug". People's Artist Of Ukraine
People's Artist of Ukraine is an honorary and the highest title awarding to outstanding performing artists whose merits are exceptional in the sphere of the development of the performing arts (theatre, music, dance, circus, cinema, etc.). Established in 1922 during Soviet times, it was technically called People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (Народний артист УРСР). With the establishment of independent Ukraine, this tradition was kept and the title was renamed as People's Artist of Ukraine (Народний артист України). Its recipients include many of the most highly acclaimed composers, dancers, singers, musicians, film and theatre directors, actors, circus performers, etc. During Soviet times, a person was usually named People's Artist only after reaching the age of 40. Ivo Bobul ( uk, Іво Бобул; born 1953, Chernivtsi Oblast) is a Ukrainian singer. Bobul won the People's Artist of Ukraine award in 1998. Biography Bobul started as a restaurant singer, before becoming part of the VIA Chernivtsi Philharmonic in 1980. A year later he moved to ''Live Water'', where he replaced his future wife and companion on the stage Liliа Sandulesu.
