''Like Father, Like Daughter'' () is a Singaporean Chinese drama which is being telecast on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It made its debut on 21 August 2007 and ended its run on 17 September 2007. This drama serial consists of 20 episodes, and was screened on every weekday night, 9pm. Cast * Joanne Peh as Dai Chunchun * Zheng Geping as Jin Gang aka King Kong * Kang Cheng Xi as Chris Li Kaizhe Plot Zhigang aka Jingang (Zheng Geping), a well-built but simple-minded father has an intelligent and vivacious daughter Chunchun. Unfortunately, Jingang who is always between jobs, does not know how to bring up or educate his rebellious daughter. In the end, Chunchun has to be transferred from school to school as a result of disciplinary problems. Nelson Chia
Nelson Chia () is a Singaporean theatre director, actor and lecturer. He is the co-founder of Nine Years Theatre. Early life and education Chia studied at The Chinese High School and Hwa Chong Junior College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from National University of Singapore and a master's degree in Theatre Arts (Directing) from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Career Chia has been working in theatre both as an actor and director since 1994. Chia's first major TV role in the drama Together Whenever, which was aired on SPH MediaWorks Channel U, alongside Erica Lee. Zheng Ge Ping
Edmund Tay Kok Peng (born 27 May 1964), also known as Zheng Geping, is a Singaporean actor and executive producer managed under The Celebrity Agency. He works on the Chinese-language Channel 8. Career Zheng, a former chef and Taekwondo instructor, became a full-time actor in 1987 after completing SBC's 7th Professional Drama Performers' Training Course, and had been given mostly supporting roles. Star Awards 2005 was the 12th Star Awards ceremony, held on 4 December 2005. It was part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. Following MediaCorp's merger with SPH MediaWorks on 1 January 2005, the nominees included artistes from the former SPH MediaWorks Channel U, many of whom were former employees of MediaCorp and its predecessor Television Corporation of Singapore. MediaCorp TV Channel 8 broadcast the awards ceremony from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm while SPH MediaWorks Channel U (now MediaCorp TV Channel U), aired the ceremony for the first time and began broadcasting the ceremony at 7:30 pm.
