Ligia Deca
Ligia Deca is a Romanian politician and expert in educational policies. On 3 October 2022, she was sworn in as Minister of Education in Ciucă Cabinet, after the resignation of Sorin Cîmpeanu. Biography Ligia Deca was a student at the Faculty of Navigation and Naval Transport within the Maritime University of Constanța. She completed her master's studies in the field of maritime and port management at the same university. In 2008, Deca coordinated the pilot project of the Coalition for Clean Universities, project supported by the Romanian Academic Society (SAR). The West University of Timișoara ( ro, Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara; abbreviated UVT) is a public higher education institution located in Timișoara. Classified by the Ministry of National Education as a university of education and scientific research, UVT is one of the nine members of the Universitaria Consortium (the group of Romanian elite universities). Alina Mungiu-Pippidi
Alina Mungiu-Pippidi (; born March 12, 1964) is a Romanian political scientist, academic, journalist and writer. A commentator on national politics, she is one of the civil society activists in post-1989 Romania, and, since 1990, an active contributor to ''Revista 22'' weekly. Mungiu-Pippidi was a professor at the National School of Administration and Political Science in Bucharest, where she held courses on nationalism and electoral behavior. She has also lectured on post-Cold War transition to a market economy at several universities and business schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Oxford, and the Stockholm School of Economics. She is the sister of film director Cristian Mungiu. In August 2007 she assumed a professorship in democracy studies at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany. Remus Pricopie (born January 22, 1970) is a Romanian education administrator. He was the Education Minister in the Victor Ponta cabinet from December 2012 to December 2014. Biography Born in Ceahlău, Neamț County, Pricopie entered the Chemistry faculty of the University of Bucharest in 1990, graduating in 1995. He also holds a 2005 Ph.D. in Political Science, granted by that institution and by the National School of Political Science and Public Administration.
