Lighthouse is a collaborative future bass song by American electronic producer Ookay and English drum and bass producer Fox Stevenson. Lighthouse was released on September 1, 2017, by the independent electronic music label, Monstercat. Background and composition On April 10, 2017, Ookay officially announced ''Lighthouse'', a collaboration between himself and British electronic artist Fox Stevenson. In an interview with Miguel Tost of YourEDM, Stevenson commented on the production process of Lighthouse, stating:Back in January, I was on a mini tour here in the US and had some time off in LA. Ookay
Abraham Laguna, known by his stage name Ookay, is an American electronic music producer, DJ and singer. Career Laguna is based in Los Angeles and his father is a bassist who performed a bass solo during Ookay's Father's Day set at EDC 2015. 2013 Ookay teamed up with Diplo to remix Avicii's "You Make Me". The song was made available for a digital download on 30 August 2013. 2014 On March 10, 2014, Showtek and Ookay released a single titled "Bouncer" via Showtek's label Skink Records. An official music video was uploaded by Spinnin' Records' YouTube channel two weeks later. On November 7, 2014, Ookay released his debut EP ''Ghost'' via Steve Aoki's label Dim Mak Records. Stanley Stevenson Byrne (born 25 January 1993), better known by his stage name Fox Stevenson (formerly Stan SB / Stan SSB), is an English singer-songwriter, DJ and producer of bass music, mostly drum and bass and glitch hop. He has released ten EPs under Fox Stevenson, one under Stan SB, and has been featured on two compilations under Stan SB and eighteen under the name of Fox Stevenson. Music career Stevenson's interest in electronic music production began in the early 2000s, when he made his first release on the website Newgrounds. Monstercat (formerly known as Monstercat Media) is a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 2011 by Mike Darlington and Ari Paunonen, the label released music on a tri-weekly basis until 2018, when this was changed to four releases a week.
