Lucy Spraggan
Lucy Honour Ruby Spraggan (born 21 July 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. She auditioned for ''The X Factor (UK series 9), The X Factor'' in 2012, performing her own composition, "Last Night (Lucy Spraggan song), Last Night". On 3 November 2012, it was announced she would be quitting her run on ''The X Factor'' due to illness, so she subsequently finished in ninth place, and second in her category. Following the show Spraggan was signed a recording contract with Columbia Records. Spraggan was the first contestant in the show's history to score a Top 40 single and album before the live shows aired, with her independently released album ''Top Room at the Zoo''. Her debut major label album, ''Join the Club (album), Join the Club'', was released on 7 October 2013, reaching number seven in the UK Albums Chart. The Ordinary Boys
The Ordinary Boys are an English indie rock band from Worthing, West Sussex. Originally a hardcore outfit named Next in Line, they are influenced by punk rock and Britpop music, as well as the bands the Clash, the Specials, the Jam, the Kinks and the Smiths. Their name derives from a Morrissey song, "The Ordinary Boys". The membership of the band that originally split up in 2008 consisted of founding members Samuel Preston (vocals, rhythm guitar) – generally known simply by his surname "Preston", William Brown (lead guitar), James Gregory (bass), plus Simon Goldring (drums) who had replaced Charlie "Chuck" Stanley in 2005. ''Join the Club'' is the second and major-label debut studio album by English musician Lucy Spraggan. It was released on 4 October 2013. The album includes the singles "Lighthouse" and " Last Night (Beer Fear)". The album peaked at number 7 on the UK Albums Chart and number 6 on the Scottish Albums Chart. It was certified Silver by the BPI on the 12th of October 2018. Singles "Lighthouse" was released as the album's lead single on 28 June 2013. The song reached number 26 in the UK Singles Chart. " Last Night (Beer Fear)" was released on 29 September 2013, as the album's second single. The original version was featured on Spraggan's debut album, ''Top Room at the Zoo'' and was her audition song for The X Factor in 2012. A new version has been recorded for this album.
