"Light Me Up" is a song by Polish music producer Gromee featuring vocals by Swedish singer Lukas Meijer. The song was released as a digital download on 15 February 2018. The song was written by Gromee, Lukas Meijer, Mahan Moin and Christian Rabb. Eurovision Song Contest The song represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The song competed in the second semi-final, held on 10 May 2018. It did not advance to the grand final. Chart performance In April, "Light Me Up" peaked at number 1 in Poland and stayed on the top for 4 weeks in a row becoming the most successful Polish entry for Eurovision at this chart. The song got an airplay in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia a few weeks before Poland's performance on second semi final as well. Music video The official music video is filmed in Barcelona. Gromee
Andrzej Gromala (born 14 December 1978), better known by his stage name Gromee, is a Polish DJ, record producer, remixer and owner of Kingztown Music. In 2016 he signed a record deal with Sony Music. At the Eska Music Awards 2017 he won the award for Best DJ/Producer. He won the Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, Polish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. Together with Swedish singer Lukas Meijer, he represented his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with the song "Light Me Up (Gromee song), Light Me Up" becoming the first DJ in history to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest. His solo projects have included Andreas Moe, known for being part of Tiesto's or Hardwell's tracks. He has performed at numerous music festivals. The Polish music charts are provided by ZPAV, the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (Polish: Związek Producentów Audio-Video). Albums charts In the 1970s and the 1980s, Polish music monthly ''Non Stop'' published a year-end list of the best selling albums in Poland. In the mid-1990s, two monthly sales lists were launched and published in music magazines. The first one was a top 50 compiled by ZPAV, based on shipment, not sales, which continues to be published to date. The other was a top 100 called Gorąca Setka (English: Hot 100), printed monthly in ''Gazeta Muzyczna''. Lukas Meijer (born 21 August 1988) is a Swedish rock musician, guitarist, singer and songwriter, vocalist of band No Sleep For Lucy. Together with Polish DJ Gromee, he represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song "Light Me Up". Biography He spent his childhood in Ulricehamn.
