''Ligabue'' is a 1978 Italian biographical drama film directed by Salvatore Nocita. It depicts real life events of painter Antonio Ligabue. It is based on a book by Cesare Zavattini. For this film Nocita was awarded Nastro d'Argento for Best New Director, while Flavio Bucci won the Nastro d'Argento for Best Actor. Salvatore Nocita (born 30 July 1934) is an Italian television and film director, editor and screenwriter. Born in Arcisate, Varese, in 1958 Nocita became an employee of RAI as an editor, and in 1968 he debuted as director of the journalistic program ''Faccia a faccia''.Aldo Grasso, Massimo Scaglioni. Maria Pamela Villoresi (born 1 January 1957) is an Italian theatre, cinema and television actress. She has performed in more than 100 theatrical productions and in more than 30 films. Life and career The daughter of a cloth merchant of Prato and of a German mother, Pamela Villoresi began her artistic career following the acting lessons at the Teatro Metastasio in Prato. In 1975 Giorgio Strehler called her to be part of the theater company he started, Piccolo Teatro di Milano. Simultaneously she achieved great success with the television drama ''Marco Visconti'' and started a continuous career in cinema, in which she frequently had leading roles. In 1975 she posed nude as cover girl for ''Playmen''. In 1978 she won a Grolla d'oro for her role in Marco Bellocchio's '' Il gabbiano''. Renzo Palmer (20 December 1929 – 4 June 1988) was an Italian film, television and stage actor. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1957 and 1988. Life and career Born in Milan as Lorenzo Bigatti, Palmer was the adopted son of the stage actress Kiki Palmer (from which, born Giulia Fogliata, he inherited his stage name). After leaving his law studies, he debuted in 1955 on radio, after being spotted at an audition for singers, and then worked for two years in the Company of Prose of "Radio Roma".
