Lifeboat (Stargate SG-1)
"Lifeboat" is the 6th episode from the seventh season of military science fiction adventure television show '' Stargate SG-1'' and is the 138th overall. It was first broadcast on July 18, 2003 on the Sci-fi Channel. The episode was written by the shows co-creator Brad Wright, and was directed by Peter DeLuise. In the episode, SG-1 discover a crashed alien spaceship carrying hundreds of people who have are frozen in stasis pods. Whilst exploring, the team are knocked unconscious and upon awakening discover that several of the ships passengers have somehow been downloaded into Daniel Jackson's ( Michael Shanks) body. Due to his father passing away, Richard Dean Anderson was not present during the original filming of the episode, with all of his scenes being filmed separately after filming the episode had otherwise been completed. Michael Shanks
Michael Garrett Shanks (born December 15, 1970) is a Canadian actor, writer and director. He is best known for his role as Daniel Jackson in the long-running military science fiction television series ''Stargate SG-1'' and as Charles Harris on the Canadian medical drama ''Saving Hope''. He is also known for his work on low budget, genre work filmed in Canada. Early life Shanks was born in Vancouver, and grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia. The Bridge Studios is a Canadian film studio in Burnaby, British Columbia. It operates the largest effects stage in North America. Its eight studios, ranging in size from to , are located on a lot at 2400 Boundary Road. ''Stargate Atlantis'' (usually stylized in all caps and often abbreviated ''SGA'') is an adventure and military science fiction television series and part of MGM's ''Stargate'' franchise. The sixth season of ''Stargate SG-1'', an American-Canadian television series, began airing on June 7, 2002 on Sci Fi. The sixth season concluded after 22 episodes on February 19, 2003 on the UK's Sky One, which had overtaken the Sci-Fi Channel's number of new-episode broadcasts mid-season. Teal'c of Chulak is a fictional character in the 1997 military science fiction television series ''Stargate SG-1''. Portrayed by Christopher Judge, Teal'c is a Jaffa warrior from the planet Chulak.
