''Life After Tomorrow'' is a 2006 American documentary film. Executive producers Motty Reif and Chris Kelly, produced and directed by Gil Cates Jr. and Julie Stevens (American actress and singer), Julie Stevens, who played Tessie in the 1979 and Pepper in the 1981 Broadway productions, about the lives of the women who had once played Little Orphan Annie or one of the other orphans in the musical Annie (musical), ''Annie''. On March 24, 2006, the film was premiered at the Phoenix Film Festival where it won awards for both Best Documentary and Best Director. The score for the documentary was written by Megan Cavallari. Gil Cates Jr. (born October 4, 1969) is an American producer and director, and former actor. His 2006 documentary film ''Life After Tomorrow'', which he co-produced and directed with Julie Stevens, won awards for both Best Documentary and Best Director at the Phoenix Film Festival and had its premiere on Showtime. He is the executive director of the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Phoenix Film Festival
Phoenix Film Festival is a festival that celebrates feature films and their creators. Started in 2000, the annual celebration takes place in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. The festival is a showcase for feature and short films from all over the world. History With the idea of starting a festival by filmmakers for filmmakers in Arizona, independent filmmakers Golan Ramras and Chris LaMont started the festival in 2000 with the help of Program Director Greg Hall and World Cinema Director Slobodan Popovic.
