Fantasy Novel
Fantasy literature is literature set in an imaginary universe, often but not always without any locations, events, or people from the real world. Magic, the supernatural and magical creatures are common in many of these imaginary worlds. Fantasy literature may be directed at both children and adults. A paperback (softcover, softback) book is one with a thick paper or paperboard cover, and often held together with adhesive, glue rather than stitch (textile arts), stitches or Staple (fastener), staples. Scream Of Stone (novel)
''Scream of Stone'' (german: Cerro Torre: Schrei aus Stein) is a 1991 film directed by Werner Herzog about a climbing expedition on Cerro Torre. The film was shot on location at Cerro Torre, with several scenes filmed close to the summit. The script was written principally by longtime Herzog production manager Walter Saxer, based on an idea from mountaineer Reinhold Messner, whom Herzog had worked with in his documentary '' The Dark Glow of the Mountains''. Herzog, who usually writes his own screenplays, believes that the script was weak, especially the dialogue, and says that he does not consider ''Scream of Stone'' to be his film. He would not direct another feature film for ten years. Philip Athans
Philip Athans (born 1964 in Rochester, New York) is an American editor and author. Biography Philip Athans was born in 1964 in Rochester, New York, but was raised in Chicago. Athans grew up reading Marvel comics and ''Starlog'' magazines, and watching ''Star Trek''. He graduated from film school in 1985 and started small circulation literary magazine called ''Alternative Fiction & Poetry''. Although Athans used to work in a record store while working on his writing career in his spare time, he was taken on in the book publishing department of TSR in 1995 when J. Robert King resigned from his full-time position as editor, and Athans stayed on through the 1997 transition to Wizards of the Coast. Athans became Managing Editor for Wizards of the Coast Book Publishing, where he spent most of his time as the Forgotten Realms novel line editor. ''Forgotten Realms'' is a campaign setting for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D'') fantasy role-playing game. Commonly referred to by players and game designers alike as "The Realms", it was created by game designer Ed Greenwood around 1967 as a setting for his childhood stories.
