Liceu Station
Liceu is a Barcelona Metro station situated under the La Rambla, Barcelona, La Rambla between Gran Teatre del Liceu and La Boqueria, Mercat de la Boqueria in the Barri Gòtic, part of Barcelona's district of Ciutat Vella. It is served by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, TMB-operated Barcelona Metro line Barcelona Metro line 3, L3. The station consists of a single level, on which there are two tracks served by two side platforms. The station has two pairs of street entrances, with one pair at the Teatre del Liceu end of the station and the other at the Mercat end. Each entrance in a pair leads only to one of the two platforms, and there is no connection between the two platforms without exiting the station and returning to street level. The station was opened on 15 July 1925 as the southern terminus of the Gran Metropolitano de Barcelona from Lesseps metro station, Lesseps station. Barcelona Metro
The Barcelona Metro (Catalan and Spanish: ) is an extensive network of rapid transit electrified railway lines that run mostly underground in central Barcelona and into the city's suburbs. It is part of the larger public transport system of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, Spain, with unified fares under the (ATM) scheme. As of 2014, the network is operated by two separate companies: (TMB) and (FGC). It is made up of 12 lines, combining the lines owned by the two companies. ''Modernisme'' (, Catalan for "modernism"), also known as Catalan modernism and Catalan art nouveau, is the historiographic denomination given to an art and literature movement associated with the search of a new entitlement of Catalan culture, one of the most predominant cultures within Spain. Drassanes (Barcelona Metro)
La Rambla , Drassanes is a Barcelona Metro station located underneath ''Portal de la Santa Madrona'', just off '' La Rambla'' in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona. It is named after the nearby '' Drassanes Reials de Barcelona'', the old shipyards that are now the home of the '' Museu Marítim de Barcelona''. It is the closest station to the Port of Barcelona and one of the network's closest stations to the sea, and is served by TMB-operated Barcelona Metro line L3. The station was opened on 14 December 1968 as a prolongation on the line from Liceu once Fernando metro station was closed.
