FIBA Under-19 World Championship
The FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup (formerly FIBA Under-19 World Championship) is the under-19 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). From its inauguration in 1979, until 2007, it was held every four years. Since 2007, it has been held biennially. The current champions are the United States, who defeated France in 2021. Libyan Arab Basketball Federation
The Libyan Arab Basketball Federation ''(LBF)'' is the governing body for men's and women's basketball in Libya. LBF has been an affiliate of FIBA Africa since 1961 and its offices are located in Tripoli. As of 2008 its president is Omar El Burshushi. Federation Development FIBA Africa Referees Clinic The LBF was a traditional powerhouse in the North African region. 2014 FIBA Africa Under-18 Championship
The 2014 FIBA Africa Under-18 Championship was the 19th FIBA Africa Under-18 Championship, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. The tournament was hosted by Madagascar from August 2 to 10, with the games played at the Palais des Sports Mahamasina in Antananarivo. Libya Men's National Basketball Team
The Libyan national basketball team represents Libya in international basketball matches and is controlled by the ''Kurat As-Sallah al-Leebiyyah'' (Libyan Basketball Federation). Libya has been an official affiliate of FIBA since 1961. They finished 5th at the African Basketball Championship twice. The country hosted the 2009 event where they finished 11th, ahead of heavily favored Morocco and Mozambique.
