Liberty Township is one of the thirteen townships of Clinton County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census reported 1,123 people living in the township. Geography Located in the northern part of the county, it borders the following townships: * Jefferson Township, Greene County - northeast * Wilson Township - east * Union Township - south * Chester Township - west * Caesarscreek Township, Greene County - northwest It is located in the north central part of the county on the Greene County line about halfway between Wilmington and Xenia. Yarmouth is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States, twelve miles north of the state's largest city, Portland. When originally settled in 1636, as North Yarmouth, it was part of Massachusetts, and remained as such for 213 years. Fulling, also known as felting, tucking or walking ( Scots: ''waukin'', hence often spelled waulking in Scottish English), is a step in woollen clothmaking which involves the cleansing of woven or knitted cloth (particularly wool) to eliminate (lanoline) oils, dirt, and other impurities, and to make it shrink by friction and pressure. The work delivers a smooth, tightly finished fabric that is isolating and water repellent. Well known example are duffel cloth, first produced in Flanders in the 14th century and loden, produced in Austria from the 16th century on. Ohio State Route 134
State Route 134 (SR 134) is a north–south state highway in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at its intersection with SR 32 in Sardinia and its northern terminus is at its intersection with Main Street in Port William. History SR 134 was commissioned in 1923, on the same route as today between Sardinia and Wilmington. In 1926 the route was paved between Pulse and Lynchburg. The section of road between SR 28 and Wilmington was paved in 1934. The rest of the original highway was paved in 1935. In 1938 the highway was extended to Port William. Interstate 71 (I-71) is a north–south Interstate Highway in the Great Lakes/Midwestern and Southeastern region of the United States. Its southern terminus is at an interchange with I-64 and I-65 (the Kennedy Interchange) in Louisville, Kentucky, and its northern terminus at an interchange with I-90 in Cleveland, Ohio. Virginia Military District
The Virginia Military District was an approximately 4.2 million acre (17,000 km²) area of land in what is now the state of Ohio that was reserved by Virginia to use as payment in lieu of cash for its veterans of the American Revolutionary War. Virginia had historic claims to much of the Northwest Territory, which included Ohio, dating from its colonial charter. Virginia and the other states ceded their claims over western lands to overcome other states' objections to ratifying the Articles of Confederation. In return for ceding its claims in 1784, Virginia was granted this area to provide military bounty land grants.
