''Liberation'' is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mýa. It was intended to be Harrison's debut release with her then new record label Universal Motown following her departure from Interscope in 2005. Before leaving, she had begun work on an album for Interscope called ''Control Freak'' set for a summer release 2005 with production by a host of other producers. Ultimately, she decided to leave A&M and Interscope Records and her management; subsequently Harrison made the transition within Universal Music Group to Universal Motown. Within a three-month period Harrison had completed and submitted ''Liberation'' to her new label. Production on the album, which was classified as "energetic ndghetto" with a less classic R&B edge, was primarily handled by Scott Storch and J.R. Rotem with additional contributions from Bryan Michael Cox, Kwame, Carvin & Ivan, longtime contributor Tricky Stewart, and a handful of others. Guest appearances included Long Beach native ... The album was released on September 18, 2012, in North America, and September 24, 2012, in Europe, through his independent record label HevyDevy Records and Inside Out Music. Background In an interview with Soundwave TV, Townsend discussed how ''Epicloud'' was conceived: "In this sort of process of writing that I've discovered that I guess I'm capable of now, with a sober frame of mind, part of that is just not second-guessing it, so if I write something like that, I just do it, and just finish it." He continued, "Over the past couple of years, I thought, 'OK, I've gotta write this next ' Ziltoid' thing; I'm inspired to make this epic space opera and, like, really overdo it, and make it really dark.' And so I sat down to write, but every time I went to write, I'd write some poppy hard rock thing. And I was like, 'OK, we'll get that one out of t ... I had a moment of worry, but it disappeared pretty quickly. I'm proud of this record. It makes an important statement about freedom and acceptance." Critical rece ... The single's B-side, "Decadence", featuring Pat O'Brien was on the ''Further Listening: 1992–1994'' re-release of ''Very'', and the B-sides compilation ''Alternative''. Critical reception In his weekly UK chart commentary, James Masterton wrote, "The single makes a strong showing, not least due to the fact that the gorgeous ballad is one of the best tracks from the album. What gives it an extra boost is the innovating virtual reality video, currently touring the country in a roadshow whereby punters can climb into a booth and experience the state of the art computer graphics at first hand. Even the standard 2D version is a wonder to behold, whatever happens to the single it is surely a candidate for video of the year ... The Liberation (album)
''The Liberation'' is the third full-length album by German metal band Disillusion. It was released on September 6, 2019, via Prophecy Productions. It is the band's first album in 13 years, due to creative, personal, and legal issues band members encountered since the release of '' Gloria''. Background In March 2017, Disillusion announced that they would begin writing a third album. Simultaneously the band asked for fan support via Patreon to finance the production. The first goal – support for Andy – was reached within two days. The band then announced to complete the third album within 12 months, but later extended that deadline to another year as the band didn't want to feel rushed to provide their fans with and inadequate and incomplete experience. During this time, the band announced another line-up c ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
