Jean André Soja
Jean André Soja (called ''Kaleta'', born 13 February 1946 in Behara) is a Malagasy politician. He is a member of the Senate of Madagascar for Anosy. He was elected member of the senate before 2002. He also was a member of the Tiako I Madagasikara and is the founder of Liaraike, his personal party. He won a seat as senator in the 2001 Malagasy senatorial elections for Anosy and became a member of parliament in the 2002 Malagasy parliamentary elections. Anosy
Anosy is one of the 22 regions of Madagascar. It is located in the southeast of the country, on the eastern side of what was once the Toliara Province. The name ''Anosy'' means "island(s)" in Malagasy. Due to a strategic sea route running along its coast, Anosy had been an important crossroads for the Malagasy, Muslims, and Europeans. In the mid-1600s, it was the location of the first French colonial settlement in the Indian Ocean. The region was part of the Imerina Kingdom for much of the 1800s and part of the French colony of Madagascar from the late 1800s to 1960. Young Malagasies Determined ( mg, Tanora malaGasy Vonona, or TGV) is a political movement in Madagascar. It is headed by the current President, Andry Rajoelina, who organized it prior to the Antananarivo mayoral election in 2007. Andry Nirina Rajoelina (Malagasy: ; born 30 May 1974) is a Malagasy politician and businessman who has been the president of Madagascar since 2019. He was previously president of a provisional government from 2009 to 2014 following a political crisis and military-backed coup, having held the office of Mayor of Antananarivo for one year prior. Before entering the political arena, Rajoelina was involved in the private sector, including a printing and advertising company called Injet in 1999 and the ''Viva'' radio and television networks in 2007.
