Liam Jacobs
Liam Chad Jacobs (born 3 March 2001) is a South African politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Democratic Alliance (DA). He has also been the leader of the Democratic Alliance Students Organisation (DASO) since October 2022. He was elected to the National Assembly of South Africa for Gauteng in the 2024 South African general election. Early life Jacobs was born in Kimberley of the Northern Cape. Jacobs holds an honours degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pretoria. Career Jacobs was Students’ Organisation Leader for the DA. In the 2024 South African general election, he was 60th on the national party list. He currently serves on the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts, and Culture. Professional wrestling career On the 4th of November 2023, Jacobs debuted as a professional wrestler at a local wrestling promotion in South Africa. Northern Cape
The Northern Cape is the largest and most sparsely populated province of South Africa. It was created in 1994 when the Cape Province was split up. Its capital is Kimberley. It includes the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, part of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and an international park shared with Botswana. Gauteng ( zu, eGoli; xh, iRhawuti) is one of the nine multi-member constituencies of the National Assembly of South Africa, the lower house of the Parliament of South Africa, the national legislature of South Africa. The constituency was established as Pretoria–Witwatersrand–Vereeniging in 1994 when the National Assembly was established by the Interim Constitution following the end of Apartheid. 2024 South African General Election
General elections will be held in South Africa in 2024 to elect a new National Assembly as well as the provincial legislature in each province.
