Liam Fornadel
Liam Paul Fornadel (born June 17, 1999) is an American professional football guard for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at James Madison. Fornadel has also played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL). College career Fornadel played college football at James Madison from 2017 to 2021, where he played in 54 games, starting in 41. Professional career Winnipeg Blue Bombers After going undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft, Fornadel was signed to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League(CFL) practice squad on September 20, 2022. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. XFL (2020–2023)
The XFL was a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets. It is now one of the two-component conferences of the United Football League (UFL), along with the United States Football League (USFL). The XFL league headquarters were in Arlington, Texas. The league was founded by WWE executive Vince McMahon in 2018, as a continuation successor to the league of the same name he founded in 2001. McMahon founded the new XFL to create a league with fewer off-field controversies and faster, simpler play compared to the bigger National Football League (NFL), and one without the features inspired by professional wrestling or entertainment elements of its predecessor. The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30. It was the first draft to be held in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The first five selections were defensive players, the second-most taken at the start of a draft after the six in 1991.
