Liam Coyle (born 21 May 1968) is a former Northern Irish footballer. Club career Coyle made his League of Ireland debut for Finn Harps on the opening day of the 1987-88 League of Ireland First Division season at Buckley Park against EMFA on 13 September 1987. After 3 goals in 9 total appearances he moved to his home town club making his Derry debut alongside Tim Dalton, Kevin Brady, Paul Doolin and Noel Larkin at Finn Park in an Ulster Tyre Cup game on 24 July 1988. His first goal came in a friendly against Clyde F.C. on 7 August. Liam Coyle really burst onto the League of Ireland scene during the 1988–89 League of Ireland Premier Division season scoring a hat-trick against Cobh Ramblers on his Derry League debut on 6 November. He was also crowned Young Player of the Year, finished the season as "Treble" winner with Derry, and was capped by Northern Ireland in an end-of-season friendly with Chile (following in the footsteps of his father, Fay Coyle). Derry, officially Londonderry (), is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland and the fifth-largest city on the island of Ireland. Paul Doolin
Paul Doolin (born 26 March 1963, in Dublin) is an Irish former footballer and manager. Who mostly recently managed NIFL Premiership side Portadown. Career He played for Bohemians, scoring on his debut on 13 September 1981. In April 1983 he played for the League of Ireland XI U21s against their Italian League counterparts who included Roberto Mancini and Gianluca Vialli in their team. In June 1985 he signed for Shamrock Rovers and in his three years at the club won the double twice scoring 30 goals in 107 appearances. In his first season at Milltown he was the club's top goalscorer with 11 goals. He made six appearances in European competition for the Hoops and played for the League of Ireland XI in 5 Olympics qualifiers. In 1988, he joined Derry City, where he won a domestic treble in 1989. Paul James Kee
Paul Kee (born 21 February 1967) is a retired Irish footballer who played in numerous positions, including striker and midfielder. He is the former manager of Institute Football Club and current manager of Harland and Wolf Welders. Football career Kee, who was born in Derry, Northern Ireland, began his professional career with Mansfield Town, signing in the summer of 1983. He made his League debut for Mansfield in April 1985 against Chester City. He remained with Mansfield for the remainder of the season and was then signed by Brian Clough for Nottingham Forest. He left Forest in 1986 and had spells with Southampton and Charlton before returning home, where he signed for Linfield in 1987. The spell with Linfield came to an end and he signed for Coleraine, with whom he won the Irish League Cup in 1987, defeating Portadown at The Oval. Carrick Rangers Football Club is a semi-professional Northern Irish football club playing in NIFL Premiership. The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium ( ga, Tobar an Fhíoruisce ) is a municipal football stadium with an adjoining greyhound racing track in Derry, Northern Ireland. Osteochondritis Dissecans
Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD or OD) is a joint disorder primarily of the subchondral bone in which cracks form in the articular cartilage and the underlying subchondral bone. OCD usually causes pain during and after sports. In later stages of the disorder there will be swelling of the affected joint which catches and locks during movement. Physical examination in the early stages does only show pain as symptom, in later stages there could be an effusion, tenderness, and a crackling sound with joint movement. OCD is caused by blood deprivation of the secondary physes around the bone core of the femoral condyle. This happens to the epiphyseal vessels under the influence of repetitive overloading of the joint during running and jumping sports. During growth such chondronecrotic areas grow into the subchondral bone. There it will show as bone defect area under articular cartilage. Fay Coyle
Francis Coyle (1 April 1933 – 30 March 2007), more commonly known as Fay Coyle, was a Northern Ireland international footballer from Derry, Northern Ireland. Club career A centre-forward, Fay Coyle began his career at Derry City in the Irish League before starring with Coleraine for a number of years. At the age of 18, he joined Derry City Reserves, and after some excellent displays, he made his senior debut in the 1952–53 season against Ards. On 25 November 1953 Coyle transferred to Coleraine F.C. His best was perhaps the 1954–55 season when he top-scored in the Irish League with 20 goals and won a City Cup winner's medal. In Matt Doherty Sr.'s benefit game on 4 May 1955 against Shamrock Rovers he scored all 6 goals in a 6–1 win.
