Li Tao (Five Dynasties)
Li Tao (李濤) (c. 898?–961?), courtesy name Xinchen (信臣), formally the Duke of Ju (莒國公), was an official of the Chinese Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period Chu, Later Liang, Later Tang, Later Jin, Later Han, and Later Zhou, states, as well as the Song dynasty. He briefly served as chancellor during Later Han. Background Assuming that Li Tao died in 961, he would be born in 898, during the reign of Emperor Zhaozong of Tang. He was from Wannian (), one of the two counties making up the Tang dynasty capital Chang'an.'' History of Song'', vol. 262. He was a 10th-generation descendant of Li Yi (), an uncle of Tang's founding emperor Emperor Gaozu and was a great-grandnephew of the Tang chancellor Li Hui. Li Tao (historian)
Li Tao (1115–1184), courtesy name Renfu or Zizhen, art name Xunyan, was a Song dynasty historian and scholar-official who devoted four decades of his life compiling ''Xu Zizhi Tongjian Changbian'', a monumental reference book chronicling the history of the Northern Song (960–1127). Early life Li Tao was a direct descendant of Li Si (李偲), Emperor Taizong of Tang's grandson who narrowly escaped from the persecution of Empress Wu Zetian to settle in Danleng, Mei Prefecture, in 8th-century Tang dynasty. Li Tao's father Li Zhong (李中), a 15th-generation descendant of Li Si, passed the imperial examination in 1109 during the Song dynasty. He was well known for his knowledge in history and the classics. Li Tao read widely from a young age, not only Confucian classics but also history, medicine, agriculture, cosmology and divination. Li Tao (psychiatrist)
Li Tao (; born 4 March 1965) is a Chinese academic psychiatrist. She is the dean of the Mental Health Center affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine. She is a clinician, professor, and researcher, specialising in topics relating to molecular genetics and mental illness. Biography As a student, Li worked at the National Center for Gene Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2008 to 2020, Li was a professor and researcher at West China (Huaxi) Hospital, Sichuan University. She was the leader of the research team there and was on the staff at the Hospital between 1997, when she started as a postdoctoral research worker, and 2020. Li has also taught molecular genetics at Tibet University Medical Science School. As director of the Mental Health Center at West China Hospital, in 2012, she led a collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Medical School in studying tobacco addiction.
